Lovejoy beat McKinney North on a walk-off double by Owen Stevenson to secure their second district championship in as many years under Coach Ryan Gros.
The Bulldogs scored 5 runs in the first four innings before Parker Livingstone moved to the mound after starting the game at 3rd base. The junior held North to just one in the last three innings.
Offensively, Lovejoy stayed the course after a slow start. Matt Mainord had a 3 run homer in the 4th innings to bring the Leopards within one. Aidan Smith tied the game in the 7th inning with a solo shot before Stevenson dealt the final blow.
