The Lovejoy Basketball Program is off to a fast start to the 20-21 season.
The Leopards finished off their final game before the Thanksgiving break with a 67-53 win over Garland Naaman Forest pushing their record to 4-0 on the season. With wins over Lebanon Trail, Mesquite Poteet, Dallas Madison, and Naaman Forest the men's hoopers are excited for the start of the season.
The JV Black team has matched the Varsity record by winning their first four games of their season with wins over Lebanon Trail, Poteet, Frisco Lone Star, and Naaman Forest.
The JV Red and Freshman have combined their groups to start the season and have come away with three wins and only one loss.
The Leopards have a challenging stretch of games ahead with three of their next four games against 6A stalwarts Plano West, JJ Pearce, and the #2 team in 6A, Richardson High School. Mix in perennial 5A power, West Mesquite, the Leopards are looking forward to the challenging schedule ahead.
