JV Red
The JV Red finished the first half of district with a win at McKinney North, 40-26. After a close first quarter, the Lady Leopards stepped up on both ends of the floor to take a 12 point lead going into halftime and never looked back. Shelby Tokarz led all scorers with 13 points with Margo Friloux adding 10. Audrey McCaffity had 6 points, Elliot Pomeroy added 5, Ava Bouldin had 4, and Annalysa Ritchie had 2. The Lady Leopards will look to extend their undefeated district record next Tuesday at home against Wylie East.
JV Black
The JV Black secured their third district win last night against McKinney North, 41-18. Leading scorers for the Leopards were Avae Odza with 15, Soli Stubbs with 11, Chloe Schaeffer with 5, Sydney Chapman with 3, Kailyn Allen with 4,and Kendall Dodson with 2. The JV will take their 3 game winning streak into next Tuesday’s contest against Wylie East at home.
Varsity
The varsity was defeated by McKinney North by a score of 62-52. Lovejoy was led by Grace Bennett with 16 points. Other scorers included Julia Brochu 12 points, Carsen McFadden 12 points, Carly Ludlow 5 points, Addison Hand 4 points, and Lily Herran 3 points. Other statistical leaders were Carsen McFadden 12 rebounds/4 assists/ 2 steals and Addison Hand 4 blocks.
The Leopards will be back in action on Tuesday as they host Wylie East at 5:00/6:15/7:30pm
