While not the results that the boys have become accustomed to, the North Forney tournament was a great experience for a squad that is starting to gear up towards the 2020 district slate. The tourney starting Thursday AM in the rain against a much improved Rockwall side that were able to sneak in a goal with 2 minutes left to better our boys by a score of 2-1. The Leopards spent much of Thursday afternoon regrouping and used the quality time to put together a 3-0 thrashing of Mesquite Horn to get back in the win column. Friday brought another challenge in the form of a scrappy Garland Lakeview team that was able to find a tying goal again with less than 3 minutes left. While the draw was not enough to put the boys through the group stage, it was a well played match that saw our side create many chances to put the Patriots away. The program will take some much needed recovery time over the next 36 hours and get back to training this week in preparation for Friday, when the Leopards will travel to Denton Ryan in a non district matchup.
