Middle School Night VS Denison
Thank you to all that came out and supported the Girls Basketball program and our middle school teams! The crowd was amazing and helped propel the Lady Leopards to victory in exciting fashion against district opponent, Denison.
JV Red
The JV Red fought hard against Bishop Lynch Tuesday night, but came up short with a score of 28-33. Linnea Maddux led the Lady Leopards with 7 points. Other scorers for the Lady Leopards were Elliot Pomeroy with 6, Margo Friloux with 5, Shelby Tokarz with 4, and Audrey McCaffity, Ashlyn DuBois, and Bella Levin each with 2. The Lady Leopards are 1-1 in district play and will take on Sherman Friday night.
JV Black
JV Black was unable to hold onto an early lead as they fell to Denison Tuesday night, 32-24. Leading scorers for the Leopards were Kendall Dodson and Chloe Schaeffer, both with 7 points. Katie Dolberry added 6 points. Kailyn Allen added 4 points off the bench.
Varsity
The varsity defeated Denison by a score of 38-37 to even their district record to 1-1. Lovejoy was led by Carsen McFadden with a double double of 14 points and 10 rebounds. Other scorers included Samantha Basson 9 points, Julia Brochu 5 points, Carly Ludlow 4 points, Mallory Adamson 2 points, Grace Bennett 2 points, and Addison Hand 2 points. Other statistical leaders were Carsen McFadden with 3 assists and 3 steals, and Samantha Basson/Julia Brochu/Carsen McFadden with 1 block apiece.
The Leopards will be back in action on Friday as they travel to Sherman. Game times are as follows
